Dulquer Salmaan has been one of the few actors in Malayalam who waited for theatres to reopen to release his film Kurup. But it seems like the actor is ready for an OTT debut. As per the latest reports, DQ has signed a Netflix series to be helmed by Raj and DK. Interestingly, the series also features Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav, who are not new to the series space on OTT.

Speaking about the same, a source told PeepingMoon that in the last two years, Dulquer had been offered several web films and series, but he turned them all down since he was dissatisfied with the subjects that were being offered to him. Now, the actor was seeking a specific type of project to kick off his OTT career, and thus Raj and DK's offer fit the bill perfectly.

The source further said that it's a big-budget, suspenseful thriller with the customary Raj and DK humorous overtones that follow three main characters.

The untitled series will mark the fourth outing of Dulquer in Hindi after Karwaan (2018), The Zoya Factor (2019), and the upcoming R. Balki directorial Chup, also starring Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, and Shreya Dhanwantary in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, after the success of The Family Man, Raj and DK have been helming another series for Amazon Prime Video. The untitled series features Shahid Kapoor in the lead role, making his OTT debut alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Raashhii Khanna.

On the other hand, Rajkummar is set to be seen in a Netflix film directed by Vasan Bala titled Monica, O My Darling, co-starring Radhika Apte and Huma Qureshi. Whereas Adarsh was last seen in Hostel Daze season two streaming on Amazon Prime Video. He will next be seen in Extrapolations, an anthology to be streamed on Apple TV+.
