Durga Pooja 2022: Kajol and Salaam Venky director Revathy celebrate and seek blessings; watch

On Tuesday, Kajol shared a video from her Durga Puja festivities with family, friends, and co-workers on her Instagram handle. The video features her Salaam Venky director and veteran actor Revathy. It spans about thirty seconds, in which the two can be spotted entering the Mukerji family Durga pandal and offering prayers to the goddess Durga. It also includes appearances from her mother Tanuja and sister Tanisha Mukherjee, where they were seen greeting guests and passing around food. The actor captioned the video with the hashtag Salaam Venky and wrote, "Seeking Durga Ma's blessings and yours... For our new offering."

Revathy and Kajol will share screen space in their upcoming film Salaam Venky, which will be released on December 9. Kajol recently shared a post with the release date and a poster of the film. Her caption went, "And we have a date. Salaam Venky will release at a theatre near you on 09.12.2022."

Revathy has previously worked on National Award-winning Mitr, My Friend (2002) and 2004 drama, Phir Milenge. Salaam Venky was earlier titled The Last Hurrah, and stems from the true story of a mother's unwavering resilience despite all the obstacles that life throws at her. The film is produced by Suuraj Sinngh, Shraddha Agrawal and Varsha Kukreja under BLIVE Productions and RTAKE Studios, and is directed by Revathy.

The film is all set to release in cinemas on December 9.
