Beloved Grey’s Anatomy star Meredith Grey aka Ellen Pompeo revealed that she will not be undertaking any other acting related job.
During an interview on Ladies First With Laura Brown podcast, Ellen Pompeo of Grey’s Anatomy fame revealed that she doesn’t believe she will pursue more acting gigs once the long-running medical drama series comes to an end. She went ahead and said that she will never say that she would not act again but just that she isn’t necessarily thrilled about continuing her acting career any further.
Ellen also admitted that she is more entrepreneurial at the current stage of her life. It seems like she is interested in investing in the business and starting one as she believes that it is an area of growth that excites her and that she is using her brain differently.
Pompeo said that acting was a profession for the youth because of all the travelling and long days are spent on the set waiting for their cue. She told Just Jared that she feels like she is done with her acting career even though she has not done a million different roles. The actor stated that she is tired of sitting around in trailers, travelling around and shooting certain scenes in Atlanta and some others in Vancouver is not for her anymore. She has no desire to sit in trailers at 11 pm waiting to shoot scenes or have assistant directors tell her when she can have her lunch. She believes it is for the young at heart and the youth!
Ellen is looking forward to starting her podcast Tell Me which is expected to begin recording later this month. She is hopeful that the initiative will serve as a “model for other ladies” who have got the same mindset as hers. The actor has many more interesting things that are happening in her life however, she is not ready to speak about it just yet.
Ellen will return to Grey’s Anatomy for the upcoming 18th season signing a one-year contract with Chandra Wilson and James Pickens Jr according to Deadline.
