Amey Wagh plays Rasool Sheikh in Asur 2, a hacker who is deeply connected with a serial killer, Shubh. Well, we are not saying this; it is a fan theory. The actor opens up about how the aggression around us and the extensive use of technology bring out the dark side of human minds.

The story of the new Asur season is getting more exciting and engaging with each revelation, and fans cannot stop coming up with their own theories to find an answer to the ultimate question of who Subh is. In a conversation with OTTplay, Amey spoke about the dark side of the human mind and what brings it to the surface.

Amey said, "I think we all have a dark side that we may not be aware of. It only surfaces when we face certain situations that throw us out of our comfort zone. The dark side also surfaces when we use technology and consume toxic content online. Of course, it can emerge when we mingle with the wrong kind of people. There are endless ways for a person to be pushed in the wrong direction, and these days, the possibilities have only increased because the world is becoming ruthless. I believe that humanity should never be compromised, and we have to believe in the goodness of human life."

He went on to add, "Human behaviour has changed thanks to the use of technology. Our way of communicating has changed. It is amazing how one can live in a different zone and be cut off from the crowd by consuming social media feeds that can be filled with misleading information. It easily allows the negativity to control you, but as intelligent human beings, we should focus on being better and not bitter."

Asked if playing a negative character like Rasool affects him, Amey said, "Well, understanding the politics and ideology of a character is important for any actor, but I do not have to support the ideology or subscribe to it, right? I only allow my mind to feel the emotions when I am performing. Once I am done with the shoot, I am done with such emotions."

Set in Banaras, Asur 2 also stars Barun Sobti, Arshad Warsi, Meiyang Chang, Anurita Jha, and Barkha Bisht Sengupta. It is available to stream on JioCinema.
