Exclusive: Chiranjeevi, Sushmita Konidela, Kalyan Krishna film shelved, deets inside

We at OTTplay were the first ones to report that Chiranjeevi's daughter, Sushmita Konidela will be producing a film with her dad. What's special is that none other than Kalyan Krishna, who made the super hit film Bangarraju was confirmed to direct this film. 

Apparently, Chiranjeevi liked the script narrated by Kalyan Krishna and gave the nod. The fans are waiting for an official announcement about the same. But we have exclusively learned that the project has been called off. 

Going into details, Chiranjeevi did not like the final script and put the film on hold. Post the debacle of Bholaa Shankar, Chiranjeevi is in no mood to take a risk and he did not like the script, he shelved the film right away. Chiranjeevi also suffered a personal loss of Rs one crore which he had to pay the writer who worked on the script for the last six months or so.

For now, the project is shelved and this is a setback for the mega daughter, Sushmita Konidela who was taking a massive step in her career of producing a biggie with her dad. The above-said project was her biggest film to date but sadly, it has now been shelved.

Sushmita Konidela worked as a stylist for her dad for the last few years. She also turned producer a few years back and has made a few web series for Zee 5. Her first feature film, Sridevi Shoban Babu ended as a big flop at the box office. T

On the other hand, Chiranjeevi is on the lookout for relatively young directors and will showcase him in a new avatar. That is the reason, he has teamed up with Vassishta, the young director who made Bimbisara with Kalyan Ram and scored a massive hit. We need to see how he will showcase Chiranjeevi in this film.
