Exclusive! Joydip Banerjee on Olokkhis in Goa: For me, this series is also about exploring a brand new place

Joydip Banerjee is ready with his new series, Olokkhis In Goa, which will be dropped on KLIKK during the third week of January. With Anuradha Mukherjee, Averi Singha Roy, Priyanka Bhattacharjee, and Priyanka Mondol in the lead, the film is shot in Goa and Durgapur in November and December last year. 

While talking about the series, Joydip emphasised that he got a chance to explore Goa while shooting the series. “My first visit to Goa was when I went for the recce for the series,” he admitted. Later, the team explored a number of lesser-known beaches, including Talpona. “We stayed at Colva and shot around the area. Exploring South Goa is an integral part of the script hence, he focussed here. “We shot inside Cabo de Rama Fort and the beach. In Panjim, we explored Fontainhas. There were shooting restrictions and we also shot like travel bloggers in guerilla style,” he said.

Initially, Aindrila Sharma was part of Olokkhis In Goa. in fact, she shot a scene before she suffered from a fatal cerebral attack. Joydip wants to keep that scene in the show. “It is my wish to keep that scene in the show. Not only that bit was her last work but also it was beautifully rendered,” said the director.
