Exclusive! Munawar Faruqui on ‘not showing all his sides’ on Lock Upp: Payal Rohatgi needs to show me her doctor’s degree

Munawar Faruqui has called out Payal Rohatgi for trying to state that he did not show all his sides on Lock Upp. When OTTplay asked him about her statement, Munawar said that Payal needs to show him her doctor’s degree for him to agree with what she said. He also questioned if she is his childhood friend.

Throughout Lock Upp, Munawar made some revelations about his painful past. From growing up in a household where violence and fighting was common to his own broken marriage, Munawar had kept many things hidden which unfolded through Kangana Ranaut’s show.

There were times when Munawar said that he avoided fighting on Lock Upp and in real life because he has grown up watching that throughout his childhood. We asked him if it was his childhood trauma that stopped him from bringing the side Payal mentioned and he completely ignored the question.

The comedian said that he can agree with Payal’s words only if she has a doctor’s degree to prove that he didn’t bring out his side forward. He said that she behaved like his childhood friend by making such a statement (which she clearly isn’t) and added, “I am very bindaas and all my sides in front of you.”

Munawar told us that he has no care in the world if Payal did not see a side of him. “If she felt that a side didn't come out, that isn't my concern at all. Payal wasn't my audience there nor do I want an audience like her,” he shared.

Munawar was competing for the Lock Upp trophy with Payal. She became the runner-up while he took the trophy home.

Munawar won Lock Upp not only with the highest votes but also because the host Kangana thought he was the deserving winner. Even otherwise, Munawar received over 18 lakh votes, helping him get closer to the Lock Upp trophy.
