Exclusive! Munawar Faruqui reveals why he’s still hesitant to openly talk about girlfriend Nazila

Munawar Faruqui won Lock Upp and within less than a week of taking the trophy home, he made his relationship with his girlfriend Nazila official. Munawar did not reveal her name but since Nazila is a social media influencer, he did not need to. Nonetheless, this comedian is still a little hesitant to openly talk about her.

Munawar ki janta has taken a special interest in his 'Bubby' Nazila and constantly asked the comedian about her. During Munawar’s recent Instagram live, fans asked him to go live with Nazila. He in turn told them to ask her to go live. This happened soon after Munawar made Nazila official and took her to Lock Upp success party too.

We asked Munawar what is stopping him from openly talking about Nazila even now and he shares that he wants to take things slow. “Nothing's stopping me right now but I don't want to be very open,” he said, adding that the two would need time for a few things.

Apart from Lock Upp success bash, Munawar has been going out on dates with Nazila very publicly. He assures that is how they will remain by telling us, “Whatever we have, it will be in the public eye anyway.”

Munawar’s personal life became public through Lock Upp. While host Kangana Ranaut did say that Munawar has a girlfriend, Nazila’s name was never revealed.

In another episode, Kangana had also revealed that Munawar is actually a married man. Not just that, he shares a kid with his now ex-wife.

Munawar has not spoken about his wedding openly till date. He simply said that he is separated from his wife. Later, Munawar was seen making small gestures – of missing his son and being elated when he got a bottle which belonged to his baby boy.

Munawar was also linked to co-contestant Anjali Arora on Kangana’s Lock Upp. However, the two maintained and clarified that they are only friends. Anjali, too, has a boyfriend named Akash. Munawar had always said that his girlfriend from the real world is the real deal for him and now, he has proven so too.
