The shooting of Bigg Boss 16 is slated to start in September. Even before any official announcements, speculations are high on the names of probable participants. Celebrities, including comedian Munawar Faruqui, internet sensation Faisal Shaikh, TV actor Shivin Narang and Vivian Dsena, are speculated to be there at the house. Besides, there are other names, including Poonam Pandey, Anjali Arora, Shiney Ahuja and Ankita Lokhande, that are doing rounds.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is expected to be back as the host of the show with a three times remuneration hike. In Bigg Boss 15, he reportedly charged Rs 350 cr.
Amid the speculations that Tollywood actress Sreelekha Mitra was expected to make it to the Bigg Boss house this year, a certain media reported that Ritabhari Chakraborty also might participate in the show. However, the actress unequivocally denied the claim. She said, “In 2020, the team of Bigg Boss contacted me. However, I felt I am not suitable for the show as it gets into a very personal space. I had to politely turn down their offer. Ever since there have been no talks at all. I am not participating in Big Boss 16. The show has a huge fan following and it offers a certain level of stardom to the participants. But I don’t think I am the right person for it,” she told exclusively to OTTplay.
On the other hand, as per Tollywood industry sources are concerned, Sreelekha Mitra has been keeping her calendar free for a ‘Hindi project’ for several days in September. The actress has reportedly visited Mumbai for meetings recently.
