OTTplay told you earlier that the PRK Productions film Family Pack , which was headed to Amazon Prime Video, would release on February 17. Turns out, we were right. The trailer of the Likith Shetty-Amrutha Iyengar starrer dropped today and officially announced the release date as well. So, now that we’ve established that, let’s get on with the trailer.
Director Ajun Kumar S, who has worked with Likith earlier on Sankashta Kara Ganapati, has been quite tight-lipped about the subject of the film, but now that the trailer is here, it appears that it is all about family dynamics. Likith hails from a broken family, and has his heart set on Amrutha Iyengar’s character, but he has stiff competition in the form of Chandu B Gowda, who is also seeking her affection. Likith does get some ‘help’ in wooing her from Rangayana Raghu, but will that suffice for him to get the girl of his dreams? Also, will all be well when the families eventually meet? For that, you will have to wait till February 17 to find out.
The official synopsis of the film that was released along with the trailer offers a glimpse into the narrative, and how Likith, who’s lost the will to live, has a chance encounter with a ghost who gives him a new life. But things get complicated when the ghost realises that their lives and destinies are intertwined on a deeper level.
Family Pack is a part of Prime Video’s recent multi-film announcement with PRK Productions which will be available exclusively for Prime Members worldwide. The three-film announcement is an ode to the craft and legacy of the late actor and filmmaker Puneeth Rajkumar whose contribution to cinema stands unmatched.
Family Pack stars Likith Shetty, Amrutha Iyengar, Rangayana Raghu, Sihi Kahi Chandru, Sadhu Kokila, Achyuth Kumar, Padmaja Rao, Shivaram, Sharmitha Gowda, Chandu Gowda, Jahangir, Nagabhushan, Raghu Ramanakoppa, Sujay Shastri, Mahantesh Hiremath, Shruthi Ramesh, Santosh Shetty, and Nischitha.
