On the eve of Family Star release, Vijay Deverakonda shared a video giving us a glimpse of his childhood and the close bond he shared with his father from the beginning.

Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda wrote a heartfelt note expressing immense gratitude to his father. He acknowledged the sacrifices his parents made to provide a life they never had themselves while dedicating his latest movie, Family Star , to his father, Deverakonda Govardhan Rao.
"My hero. My Star. Life is full of highs and lows :) and I do not know what it holds in store. But I work every day to make you proud and happy. I love you my Superstar We made #FamilyStar to celebrate the stars in our lives, sharing with you a little flashback of the man who I made this movie for. I dedicate this movie to every Man/Woman/Boy/Girl fighting for their family. Lots of love, Your man. Vijay," he captioned the video featuring photos from his childhood.
The video gives a glimpse of Deverakonda's childhood and the close bond he shared with his father from the beginning. He gave full credit to his father for helping him become the star he is today while describing him as his first hero.
"My family star. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am today. From my first steps as a baby to every step I take today, I know you are standing behind me and watching over me. You struggled so I never have to, you sacrificed your happiness so I can be happy. You are my first best friend, you are my first hero, and you are my strength. If I ever hurt you or let you down. Forgive me. Know that I love you. Making you proud will be my biggest success, and you will be forever my Family star," he added.

In Family Star, Deverakonda plays a middle-class boy with big dreams. "God, even if you don't give me any new break in life, please don't disturb the life I have now," that's the first thing we hear Deverakonda's character say in the trailer.
Praying for a steady paycheck and status quo is a classic middle-class feature. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur.
