No Entry is one of the most loved comedy films that was released in 2005. Starring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, and Celina Jaitly, the film garnered a lot of love from fans as well as critics. Now the buzz around the sequel, tentatively titled No Entry Mein Entry is at the top level. During a new interview, Fardeen recalled his experience of working in the hit 2005 comedy and also talked about the movie's sequel.
Earlier it was reported that No Entry 2 is going to have around 10 actresses, with Arjun Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan being the leading men. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Fardeen Khan confirmed that the film is indeed in the making but has also asserted that it is a new star cast.
“I think it has been announced but we are not in it. It’s got a whole new star cast. So, damn it!” he joked as he opened up about it to the portal. “You should call Boney Kapoor for this,” he added.
During the interaction, Fardeen also recalled his experience of shooting No Entry which recently completed 19 years of release. He said that as an actor it was his first attempt at all-out comedy where he had to play a little silly, funny, goofy kind of a character who's not (very smart) who's very vulnerable and naive. It was something very different from the way he saw himself.
Khan further added that it really freed him up because he had to really let go. "I was a bit hesitant doing that but (it was because of) Boney Kapoor's belief on me. He saw me doing some of a couple of such scenes in Khushi. He said 'Fardeen you're right for this role, it' and I was like 'Really?'. Because it was a remake of Charlie Chaplin (2002) and my role was played by Prabhu Deva. Of course, I interpreted it quite differently," he said.
Fardeen said that with actors like Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, and others, the film did well together.
In an earlier interview with News18, Boney Kapoor shared that Anil Kapoor was not happy with the filmmakers' idea of not casting him in the sequel. After this interview, Boney's words took the internet by storm. The filmmaker then issued a clarification saying that his words were taken out of context.
In his clarification, Boney said that he was shocked and surprised that the press has made an issue of a very lighthearted and not very successful attempt at humour when he said, ‘Anil is angry with me’.
"The fact is, the film I am proposing to make doesn’t have either Salman (Khan) or Anil because both of them are very busy stars. So, instead of thinking of making it with them, I decided to make the sequel with a younger generation," he added.
