The upcoming Kannada film Love You Rachchu is special on several counts; for starters, it is a collaboration of three filmmakers. Produced by Guru Deshpande, who is known for his directorials like Rajahuli and Rudratandava, among others, for his home banner, the film’s story has been written by director Shashank, while newbie Shankar Raj has brought it all together. The film brings together Krishna Ajai Rao and Rachita Ram in the lead, in what is their first collaboration ever.
While not much is known about the film, Guru, on Sunday, announced that the lyrical video of the first single is all set to be released. “Hatrick combination After Ondu Maathali and Marali Manasagide, Guru Deshpande and Sanjith Hegde are back with one more beautiful song composed by Kadri Manikanth and it is ready to reach your hearts on October 3rd with a lyrical video,” he posted on social media, along with a teaser video.
Rachita also took to social media to announce the upcoming release of the track. In earlier interviews, the actress has been quoted as saying that Love You Rachchu is a special film for her, considering it has her name in the title. The biggest selling point, though, she added, was the script by Shashank, who is known for his romantic dramas. This one is a romantic thriller, a genre that both Rachita and Ajai have said was new to them.
Despite all these USPs, though, Love You Rachchu has been in the news mostly for an unfortunate incident on the set of the film in August, wherein a stunt artiste died after sustaining an electric shock. The team was shooting for an action sequence when Vivek, one of the artiste’s came in contact with an 11KV livewire and was electrocuted. Guru had subsequently announced a monetary compensation to be paid to Vivek’s kin.
