Fourth single from Koogle Kuttappa launched by Udhayanidhi Stalin

The fourth single from Koogle Kuttappa was released this evening by actor and film producer Udhayanidhi Stalin. The single titled Soorathenga is a fun number sung by Gold Devaraj. Lyrics for the song are by Viveka. Music has been composed and arranged by Ghibran.

Koogle Kuttappa is a science fiction comedy drama directed by debutants Sabari–Saravanan. They both are the former assistants to director KS Ravikumar. The star cast for the film includes KS Ravikumar, Yogi Babu along with former Bigg Boss contestants Tharshan and Losliya. Cinematography for the film is by Arvi and editing is handled by Praveen Antony. The film is slated to release on May 6.

The film is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 written and directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval. The star cast in the Malayalam version comprised Suraj Venjaramoodu, Soubin Shahir, Sooraj Thelakkad, Kendy Zirdo, and Saiju Kurup. The film was critically acclaimed by the critics and audience aline and won three Kerala State Awards including the Best Actor Award for Suraj. The original had music by Bijibal, editing by Saiju Sreedharan and cinematography by Sanu Verghese.

The film delves into the life of an old man who lives alone and the bond he develops with his humanoid robot, which has been presented to him by his son to quell his loneliness. The Tamil makers had earlier stated that they had altered the original to suit the Tamil audiences. Now, with the film gearing up for release, expectations are soaring from the remake. This is the first time that reality show contestants Losliya and Tharshan are teaming up for a film.
