Spike Lee set to direct & produce the Amazon Studios ROTC series

Amazon Studios are set to produce an untitled ROTC coming-of-age drama series, and Spike Lee is coming on board as the director. The script is being provided by military veterans Jalysa Conway and Rebecca Murga and revolves around the ROTC program of a major university which accommodates students from different social strata. ROTC or the Reserve Officers' Training Corp is a university-based program that trains future commissioned officers for the United States Armed Forces.

Zoë Kravitz reveals Big Little Lies is not coming back for season 3

Big Little Lies made headlines for its stellar cast and riveting performances when it premiered in 2017. Meryl Streep joined the second season making it her first major role in any television series. The idea of a season 3 was floating around but the passing of director Jean-Marc Vallée has made it challenging for the actors to continue without him. Zoë Kravitz is certain that there is no chance of another season of this hit series based on Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name. The dark dramedy takes place in an elite neighborhood in Monterey, California and focuses on mothers of first-graders at a private primary school.

Quentin Tarantino shares plans of returning to television

Quentin Tarantino fans might not have to wait too long for his next project. After the release of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, he has stayed away from the public eye. He is currently promoting the release of his new book Cinema Speculation. At a recent appearance at a New York event hosted by Elvis Mitchell, the famed director revealed that he has decided to work on a TV show. He shared plans of shooting an eight-episode series in 2023 but didn't disclose any plot details. He also publicized that he is interested in doing a movie on Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos if he ever collaborated with Marvel.

Bradley Cooper cast as the lead in Steven Spielberg’s Bullitt

Steven Spielberg is working on his upcoming original film Bullitt, and he has decided on Bradley Cooper to play the lead in the film. Cooper will be portraying the titular role of Bullitt, and also co-producing the film alongside Spielberg and Kristie Macosko Krieger. Cooper will be playing the classic character, Bullitt famously portrayed by Steve McQueen in the original 1968 thriller. Speilberg is reinventing this movie based on the famous San Francisco cop but following a completely new story.

Pedro Pascal is part of the new film The Uninvited

Pedro Pascal has joined the ensemble cast in the new film, The Uninvited along with Walton Goggins, Elizabeth Reaser, and Lois Smith. Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Nadia Conners is attached to the project while most details regarding the project are being kept under wraps. As of now, it is known that the film will revolve around a party that gets interrupted by an uninvited guest and the rest of the night descends into chaos.

Silk: Spider Society by Walking Dead’s Angela Kang ordered by Amazon

Amazon is set to take up multiple Marvel live-action shows produced by Sony. The first series will be Silk: Spider Society, developed by The Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang. She will be coming on board as the showrunner and executive producer as part of a multi-year overall television deal. She has signed with Amazon alongside Phil Lord and Christopher Miller as producers. The show will be based on the Marvel character Cindy Moon, who gets bitten by the same spider that bit Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man. Cindy soon becomes the Korean American superhero called Silk, a crime-fighting vigilante.
