Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke to play lead roles in Apple TV+ drama Raymond & Ray

Raymond and Ray is all set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12th. The team released a set of never-before-seen pictures to mark the occasion. Rodrigo García writes and directs the story of two half brothers who embark on a journey of self-discovery after their awful father’s death. The titular protagonists are played by Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke respectively and will be released on Apple Tv + shortly on October 21st.

Pete Davidson, Sebastian Stan, Seth Rogen, and Paul Dano unite for Gillespie’s Dumb Money

Dumb Money has made its lead casting announcement with Pete Davidson, Seth Rogen, Sebastian Stan, and Paul Dano set to star. The movie is adapted from Ben Mezrich's bestseller The Antisocial Network, and it will be directed by I, Tonya director Craig Gillespie. Fans are excited to see the four unite on the big screen with Sebastian Stan’s reunion with Gillespie after Pam & Tommy which also starred Seth Rogen.

Emma Roberts cast in Prime Video romantic comedy Space Cadet

Space Cadet is an upcoming rom-com featuring Emma Roberts in the lead as a peppy Floridian party girl who ends up being NASA’s sole hope for a space program. Writer and director Liz W. Garcia is armed with Prime Video and is financially backed by Stampede Ventures. The film will be released exclusively on Prime Video.

Anthony Hopkins and Helena Bonham Carter to star in war drama One Life

Helena Bonham Carter and Anthony Hopkins are set to star in a World War II drama titled, One Life. The plot follows the biopic of stockbroker Nicholas Winton who saved over 699 children during the Nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia. Despite the imminent threat of his own life he managed to rescue the children from death at the hands of the Nazis. The title of the drama is taken from the Jewish Talmud which states that the world can be saved if you can liberate at least a single life.

Lindsay Lohan signs for two rom-coms with Netflix

Lindsay Lohan is set to make her comeback with a Netflix title, Irish Wish, she is also confirmed to be partnering with Netflix for another Christmas rom-com as well. The plot for Irish Wish follows Lohan playing the bridesmaid for her best friend's wedding, who is marrying a man Lohan’s character had once loved in Ireland. Things take a turn when she wishes for true love and wakes up to find that it might be coming true. Janeen Damian directs both movies.

Illegal release of Vikram starrer Cobra

Vikram’s Cobra was expected to make large collections over the weekend box office but has fallen victim to online piracy. Cobra, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, was released on August 31st and was reaching a 17 crore mark within two days when the pirated version of the movie was released illegally on online platforms and is now facing a plummet in collections. The Madras High Court as well as the makers of the movie are already working on damage control with strict actions being taken against perpetrators.
