The beauty of the Telugu film fraternity is how it stands up together in the hour of glory and to tackle crisis, keeping egos, stature and insecurities aside. RRR, SS Rajamouli’s historical drama, has done a fantastic job of putting the entire industry under a single umbrella called Indian cinema without regional barriers. After hogging the limelight for its Golden Globes win, Naatu Naatu has made history again by being the first Telugu song to be nominated for the Academy awards yesterday.

Appreciation for RRR’s Naatu Naatu team has been pouring in from all corners and several top names in the fraternity expressed their happiness on the nomination. While Prabhas congratulated MM Keeravaani, Jr NTR and Ram Charan for the same, he also wrote, ‘The greatest @ssrajamouli does it again!’ Venkatesh called the Naatu Naatu nomination another feather in the heat, while appreciating the team. Nani added, “Let this be the beginning of all the amazing things Indian cinema will witness soon.”

Borrowing a leaf out of the song, Lakshmi Manchu posted, “As said truly in the song. NOT SALSA NOT FLAMENCO MY BROTHER DO YOU KNOW NAATU!? @ssrajamouli now the world actually knows Naatu.” Chiranjeevi was an equally proud father and said team RRR was one step away from the pinnacle of cinematic glory. “Heartiest Congrats on THE Oscar Nomination for Best Original Song @mmkeeravaani garu & the visionary @ssrajamouli and the Entire Team behind #NaatuNaatu,” he added.

Ravi Teja, in his typical massy style, wrote it was time for the world to groove to Naatu Naatu. “Ika Naatu debba direct OSCAR ke 👊🏾 @mmkeeravaani garu screen meedha @tarak9999 @AlwaysRamCharan tho paatu Prapancham mottham tho #NaatuNaatu Vepincharu🔥 Big Congratulations to @ssrajamouli @boselyricistgaru @kaalabhairava7 @Rahulsipligunj #PremRakshith & everyone involved.” Pawan Kalyan remained optimistic that RRR would bring Indian cinema an Oscar for sure.
