A Stan Lee Documentary is in the works with Disney+

Disney+ is set to produce a documentary on the late legend Stan Lee. Marvel Studios made this announcement in honor of his 100th birthday to celebrate his life and the legacy of Marvel Comics. The documentary titled Stan Lee will be released in 2023. MCU loyalists would already know that Lee made his last cameo appearance in Avengers: Endgame in 2019. And we’re stoked to see this life less ordinary being depicted on the screen.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will include a character from Super Mario Galaxy.

The trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie has got every 90s kid thrilled to bits. And in the latest news about the movie, there’s a new character being introduced which resembles a star-like creature introduced in the 2007 game Super Mario Galaxy called Luma. The film stars Chris Pratt as Mario and Charlie Day as Luigi with Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen and Anya Taylor-Joy. Let’s hope the bros manage to save the princess in this one!

Mani Ratnam’s PS-2 and Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani are set to have a box-office clash

With only a few movies managing to break box office charts in 2022, we’re hopeful about the next year. Just three months into 2023, two big-budget vehicles will be crossing swords at a theater near you. Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 and Karan Johar’s much-awaited Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will both be released in theaters on April 28, 2023. Ponniyin Selvan 2 has an ensemble cast comprising Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi and many more. And Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. This film also marks Karan Johar’s comeback as a director after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016. Which one has you more stoked to hit the multiplex? Now that’s going to be a tough choice.

National Geographic India is set to produce a documentary series on Maharashtra starring Sai Tamhankar

Postcards from Maharashtra, a seven-part series on Maharashtra is set to premiere on National Geographic where Sai Tamhankar will take the viewers on a tour across her state of birth. Through the course of the series, Tamhankar will reveal culinary secrets, explore historic landmarks such as the ancient caves of Elephanta, the UNESCO heritage sites in Aurangabad and the divine temples of Pune and Nashik. This travel series has a lot in store for foodies as one will get to explore lip-smacking offerings of each region in Maharashtra. Postcards from Maharashtra will premiere on December 29.

The Censor board suggests changes in Pathaan, including the songs

There have been several controversies surrounding Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s movie Pathaan, particularly about the songs. Following the uproar that these songs have created and considering they have been deemed to be hurtful to the sentiments of certain groups, the Central Board of Film Certification has advised the filmmakers to make changes to the film before its theatrical release. Prasoon Joshi, the Chairperson for CBFC revealed that the movie has gone through a due examination process as per the CBFC guidelines. The Committee then asked the makers to apply the changes and submit the revised version before theatrical release.

Nani and Venkatesh Daggubati are set to play the lead in Sailesh Kolanu's HIT3 and HIT4 respectively

New reports claim Sailesh Kolanu is planning the HIT movie series to be a six-part franchise with different leading actors. Veteran Telugu actor Venkatesh will be the lead for the 4th sequel of the HIT universe while ‘Natural star’ Nani will be seen playing the lead in its 3rd movie. HIT2 starring Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary is set to release in theatres on December 30.
