Frank Grillo’s film The Resurrection of Charles Manson is set to release on February

Frank Grillo is set to star in a horror thriller after his massive success in The Purge franchise and as Hydra agent Bruck Rumlow aka Crossbones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His upcoming role The Resurrection of Charles Manson seems to be a family affair as his son Remy Grillo is directing the project. Penned by Brev Moss and Josh Plasse, the film follows a couple taking a weekend trip in the desert. Owing to the beautiful backdrop, they decide to shoot an audition tape but things get out of hand when cult members with ties with Charles Manson's notorious “family” join the scene. The members try to resurrect their leader from the dead at any cost including human sacrifice. The movie is set to release on February 16, 2023.

Updates on the sequel of the 2019 film Alita: Battle Angel

At the London World Premiere for Avatar: The Way of Water, film producer Jon Landau shared his desire of producing a sequel to the 2019 film, Alita: Battle Angel. The cyberpunk sci-fi action film starred Rosa Salazar as the titular hero, Alita who tries to uncover secrets of her past. Based on a popular Japanese manga, Alita: Battle Angel, the film was helmed by Robert Rodriguez with James Cameron’s script.

Taylor Kitsch is joining the cast of Netflix’s American Primeval

John Carter and True Detective star Taylor Kitsch is set to star in Netflix’s new series American Primeval. The upcoming Western miniseries explores the birth of the American West which became a land of desperate men and women looking for a fresh start. Taylor Kitsch will portray the role of Issac, a man who travels to the west to escape his deep-rooted trauma and inner demons. Not much is known about the remaining cast but the six-episode series is set to be directed by Pete Berg.

Hugh Grant is set to star in HBO limited series The Palace

Hugh Grant is joining the cast of the HBO limited series The Palace. Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet, Matthias Schoenaerts and Andrea Riseborough are already part of the cast. Penned by Succession writer Will Tracy, the series revolves around an authoritarian regime beginning to unravel. Details about the show are being kept under wraps but Grant is confirmed to have a guest role in this upcoming series.

Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City is set to release in theaters on June 2023

Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City is getting a theatrical release on June 16 2023, but only at a few select avenues. However, the film will receive a wider release on June 23. The film is set in an American desert town in the mid-1950s and revolves around a Junior Stargazer convention where the characters experience world-changing events.

Doctor Who is returning for the fourteenth season

The new season of the popular sci-fi show, Doctor Who has already started filming. This long-running BBC show is returning for the fourteenth season with a fresh new Time Lord, with Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor. The season continues after David Tennant returns as the Fourteenth Doctor for the special episodes in honor of the show's 60th anniversary. Millie Gibson and Ruby Sunday are also joining the cast of the fourteenth season.
