The makers of Malayalam’s latest film, Gaganachari, have shared an update regarding the film's pan-Indian release in light of the positive reviews the sci-fi drama is earning. The movie, which stars Anarkali Marikar, Ganesh Kumar, Gokul Suresh and Aju Varghese in lead roles, hit the big screens in Kerala on June 21. Now, it will have a theatrical debut across India on July 5.

Gemini Films in association with Ajith Vinayaka Films is distributing the film in theatres across the country. “Gaganachari proves that humble beginnings can soar to incredible heights with the power of collaboration. We’ve been inundated with requests for a wider release, and we heard you loud and clear,” wrote the cast and crew of the movie on their social media handles.

Release of Gaganachari in Australia and New Zealand

The makers had confirmed that the Anarkali Marikar-starrer will have a theatrical debut in the UAE and GCC on June 27. Meanwhile, they revealed that the sci-fi drama will make a big screen debut in Australia and New Zealand on July 5. It is still unclear if these countries are providing early access to the online ticketing system for the film.

All about Arun Chandu’s Gaganachari

Gaganachari is directed by Arun Chandu. He and Siva Sai co-wrote the movie's script. The film's skillful handling and portrayal of the subject matter make it worthwhile to see on a big screen, even though it may not be to everyone's taste. The writers concentrated on striking the ideal balance between the fictitious and other elements that appeal more to the Malayali audience; this approach was well received by the audience.

They deserve praise for successfully breaking the fourth wall and recreating it on screen. Its humorous aspects and enough references to appeal to those born in the 1980s and 1990s are what will really keep those watching interested. The film takes place in a dystopian Kerala in the year 2040.
