The makers of R Balki’s Ghoomer have released the movie’s first look today. The photo immediately creates intrigue within the viewers as we see Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher in one frame.
Both the actors have a rather serious look on their faces, and look intense. The two of them can be seen looking down at something, but we do not see what it is. Bachchan is also seen flaunting a subtle salt and pepper look in the movie.
The movie will see Bachchan essay the role of a cricket coach while Kher appears in the movie as a cricketer. Shabana Azmi also plays an important role in Ghoomer.
“A project with some of the nicest people I've met. That let me play a sport that I love. That let me play one of the most challenging roles I've played thus far; both emotionally & physically. It feels too good to be true. And I hope to continue playing even more. Ghoomer “ Kher wrote in a Twitter post, sharing the first look.
Ghoomer is helmed by R Balki, who previously directed Pad Man in 2018 with Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte in the lead. Ghoomer is the second time the director is working with Bachchan, after having collaborated with him in the 2009 comedy drama Paa, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan.
Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in the social comedy, Dasvi (Netflix). While the movie managed to receive mixed reactions, Bachchan impressed fans with his portrayal of a chief minister who goes to prison.
Saiyami Kher, who is known for her roles in Special OPS (Disney+ Hotstar) and Breathe: Into the Shadows (Amazon Prime Video), is also working on Sharmaji Ki Beti and Faadu.
