The song about Shivarajkumar’s Big Daddy character, has been written and composed by fans
When fans like a certain sequence, song, or even a poster, very often, you will get to see a fan-edit version of the same, which may be just as good or sometimes even a tad better. It is, after all, a declaration of their love for their favourite star(s). Century Star Shivarajkumar’s upcoming release, Ghost is getting one such fan element – a song, which, the team of the film is looking at launching on a grand scale at a public event.
The Ghost fan anthem is set to be released on October 11 at an event in Hospete, but that’s not all. Director MG Srinivas is looking at how to give the song an even wider audience and is contemplating playing the anthem during the end credits of the film. “It’s a really nice track and deserves recognition,” says the filmmaker. After the Hospete event, the team of Ghost is looking at beginning tours of other cities like Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai, among others, given that the film is releasing in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. There will also be a pre-release event in Ballari on October 15.
Ghost, produced by Sandesh Nagaraj, is one of 4-5 big titles releasing in theatres this Dasara. In Karnataka, the team is looking at a modest 350-odd screens, which, they are not only confident of retaining, but also hoping to increase based on the feedback for the other films, like Leo, Tiger Nageshwara Rao, Bhagavanth Kesari and Ganpath. The film, with a run-time of 2 hours and 7 mins, has been censored U/A, and will begin its box office campaign in the state with a midnight fan show. The team is looking at following that up with early morning shows, but that’s yet to be confirmed.
The Arjun Janya musical, which also stars Jayaram, Archana Jois and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles, is an action heist thriller that unfolds in a prison. Why Shivarajkumar’s character targets this particular prison forms the crux of the story.
