Girls Aloud are officially back. Four of the five original members, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberly Walsh, and Cheryl (bandmate Sarah Harding passed away in 2021) are finally ready to go on a massive UK tour. However, before the news could be properly announced by them, notwithstanding the teasing clips on social media, a Ticketmaster leak spoiled the fun and forced the band to make a hasty announcement.
In an interview with the British Vogue to announce the Girls Aloud reunion tour, Cheryl revealed that her six-year-old son Bear, whom she shares with ex Liam Payne, finds it ‘pretty cool’ to have famous parents. When asked by the interviewer if the three mothers cum band members, Nadine Coyle, 38, Cheryl 40, and Kimberly Walsh 41, intend to take their kids on tour, Cheryl asserted her desire to give her son a normal childhood, away from the glamorous chaos.
She disclosed, “The problem is that I want Bear to have a normal childhood. I don’t want people recognizing him on the street.” But it seems son Bear has different ideas regarding being an ordinary kid. Cheryl explained, “But he’s twigged that I’m famous. The other day he said, ‘How lucky am I to have famous parents?’ I said, ‘It doesn’t matter.’ He goes: ‘Yeah. But it’s pretty cool.’”
Cheryl and Liam Payne welcomed their son, Bear, in 2017. They announced the news iconically on Mother’s Day with a Polaroid click of Payne holding his son. But the singer had not forgotten to include Cheryl while showing off their son and had sincerely thanked her for being an incredible woman and mother, who made his dreams come true. Their relationship soured soon after, but the two have nothing but respect for each other and co-parent their son harmoniously.
