For all Chiranjeevi fans who expressed their anxiety over the absence of promotional activity for GodFather, there’s good news. The makers, who just released a promotional interview of the star earlier this week, have also planned a song launch today. This perfectly sets up the momentum for the film’s pre-release event to be held at Anantapur tomorrow.

Team GodFather received a thumping response for the film’s first single Thaar Maar, which brought together Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan in the same frame and had them grooving to S Thaman’s catchy tune. Now, the second song titled Najabhaja, will be unveiled today at 5.04 pm, the makers stated. In the song announcement poster, the star is giving a stern warning to a character in the film.

GodFather, the remake of the Mohanlal’s hit Lucifer, will surprisingly have a dubbed release in Malayalam too, apart from the Hindi version. Nayanthara, Satya Dev, Sunil, and Samuthirakani are among others who play important roles in the film. The promos have confirmed that the film is a massier, louder version of the original - simply put, Lucifer-on-steroids.

RB Choudary and NV Prasad are jointly producing the film under Konidela Productions and Super Good Films, with Konidela Surekha as the presenter. The film has cinematography by Nirav Shah with Suresh Selvarajan handing duties as the art director. The latter had also worked on Chiranjeevi’s Acharya and created the popular temple town set.

The film is releasing for Dasara on October 5, clashing with the likes of Nagarjuna’s The Ghost, Ganesh-Varsha Bollamma starrer Swathimuthyam. Vishnu Manchu’s Ginna may join the box-office race on the same day too, reports suggest. Netflix has acquired the streaming rights of GodFather. Meanwhile, the original, Lucifer, can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
