Good Wife: JioHotstar releases teaser of Priyamani’s Tamil web series

We had earlier reported that a new Tamil web series is in the making with actor Priyamani in the lead role. Titled Good Wife, it will be the Tamil adaptation of the English series, The Good Wife and will premiere on JioHotstar very soon. The streaming platform on Thursday released a new teaser on social media.
Good Wife: New teaser of Priyamani-starrer Tamil web series out
The teaser begins by showing a couple played by Priyamani and Sampath Raj who are happily married for 16 years. All seems to be going well in their lives until that one moment when a scandalous video of the husband breaks the Internet. With the husband begging his wife to believe, the family seems to be ripped apart, while we see Priyamani putting on the lawyer's cloak. The teaser ends with the husband asking his wife not to give up on him.
The upcoming series is directed by actor-filmmaker Revathy. From the looks of the teaser, Good Wife seems to be a mixture of courtroom proceedings and family drama. A release date for the series is yet to be announced by the streaming platform. The series will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi. The Good Wife was remade in several languages, including Hindi which starred actor Kajol and was titled The Trial.
Priyamani’s other projects
Priyamani is also part of the much-awaited Tamil film Jana Nayagan, headlined by actor Vijay. The film will release in January 2026, and is directed by H Vinoth. A teaser is expected to be unveiled on June 22. The Paruthiveeran actor also has the third season of Hindi web series The Family Man, and is speculated to be part of the biopic of Indian scientist GD Naidu, played by R Madhavan. Directed by Krishnakumar Ramkumar, the film GDN also features Jayaram and Yogi Babu, among others.
