Goodbye Trailer: Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna Leave you teary-eyed

Grab your tissues when you watch the trailer for Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna’s Goodbye. It begins with Mandanna’s character trying to convince her parents (played by Bachchan and Neena Gupta) to let her move out and work so that she can be independent. Later, the young woman is seen returning home only to find her mother has passed away. 

From the trailer, it seems Goodbye is about conflicts and differences of opinions between generations: the daughter (Mandanna) who tries to find logic in everything, and the father (Bachchan) who wants to follow age-old traditions. The point of conflict is the mother’s final rites. Elli Avram plays Bachchan’s daughter-in-law in Goodbye and is also seen juggling cultural differences.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, who is best known for his directorial movie Queen (2014) starring Kangana Ranaut, Goodbye is produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor. It is expected to release on October 7.
