Guruvayoorambala Nadayil Box Office Collection Day 5 – The comedy entertainer directed by Vipin Das, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph in the lead roles, is on its way to earning blockbuster status. The multi-starrer entered the Rs. 50-crore club of the Malayalam film industry, within the first 5 days of its release. However, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil was unable to surpass the record by Prithviraj Sukumaran’s previous release Aadujeevitham, directed by Blessy.
Recently, leading man Prithviraj Sukumaran and the rest of the cast and crew members of Guruvayoorambala Nadayil took to their official social media handles and confirmed that the movie entered the Rs. 50-crore club of Malayalam cinema. The Vipin Das directorial succeeded in crossing the Rs. 50-crore mark at the worldwide box office within the first 5 days of its release. Even though it is a major achievement, the multi-starrer was unable to break the record set by Prithviraj’s previous release Aadujeevitham.
For the uninitiated, Aadujeevitham set a record at the Malayalam cinema box office, by emerging as the fastest Malayalam film to cross the Rs. 50-crore club. Even though a few much-celebrated films including Aavesham, Varshangalkku Shesham, and Guruvayoorambala Nadayil hit the theatres later, none of those succeeded in breaking the record set by Prithviraj Sukumaran and Blessy’s survival drama. Aadujeevitham collected over Rs. 64 crore in just 4 days (first weekend), and it is followed by Mohanlal’s Lucifer and Mammootty’s Bheeshma Parvam.
If things proceed at the same rate, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil will cross the Rs. 75-crore mark at the worldwide box office, within the first week of its release. As per the reports, the Prithviraj-Basil starrer made over Rs. 5.75 crore at the worldwide box office on its first Monday at the theatres (Day 5). This confirms that the Vipin Das directorial has highly impressed the audience. In that case, the movie will continue performing well at the theatres, even during the upcoming weeks.
