If anyone were to understand the uncertainties that are a part of every actor’s career, it would certainly be Vikrant Koul. His acting journey, which has taken him from the theatre to the silver screen, has not been without snags. The Hai Taubba 3 star reveals that even as recent as last year, he had projects slipping out of his hands.
In a conversation with IANS, Koul talks about how he was also supposed to be a part of the second season of the ALTBalaji web show, but things did not pan out. The star said even something such as a low social media presence can affect an actor's work, resulting in actors not being able to bag roles. But he said he's been fortunate enough that he did not have to experience that.
Vikrant Koul also talked in length about how he was replaced in Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files. He revealed that a week before the film was to go on floors in December 2020, its makers had informed him that they had gone for another actor instead of Koul. But not one to be dejected, the Hello Mini star has taken it all in his stride, saying that he isn’t the first nor the last actor to have such experiences. He called being replaced in a project as a ‘part and parcel’ of an actor’s life.
Hai Taubba’s latest season will follow the adventures of four headstrong women who seek to challenge taboos and stereotypes by living their lives unapologetically. The anthology series stars Amika Shail, Poulomi Das, Rutpanna Aishwarya, Swati Sharma, Basabdatta Chatterjee, Ekavali Khanna, Saheb Bhattacharya, Arshiya Arshi, Kapil Arya and Vikrant Koul, among others.
