Dussehra has always been a crucial festival season for Telugu cinema. It’s a phase packed with a flurry of entertainers in theatres, multiple announcements, promo launches and is a feast for film buffs. While three films - Leo, Tiger Nageswara Rao, Bhagavanth Kesari - are trying to hold the fort at the box office, new promotional material of upcoming films were launched on the festival day today.

Gangs of Godavari, Vishwak Sen’s upcoming action drama set in the Godavari region in the backdrop of a fishing scam, is slated for a release on December 8. In the new poster from the film, Vishwak, sporting a long moustache and saluting crowds, can be seen as a political leader in the middle of a campaign. Krishna Chaitanya directs the film also starring Neha Sshetty.

The team of HanuMan, one of the many releases scheduled for Sankranthi 2024 - on January 12, 2024 - also came up with an exciting poster where Teja Sajja twirls his moustache while his red shades signifies the arrival of the baddie - played by Vinay Rai (in the ‘bloody’ backdrop of a ten-headed demon Ravana). Prasanth Varma directs the film produced by Primeshow Entertainment.

In an intense poster of Polimera 2, Satyam Rajesh is in a trance while performing a religious ritual with a motif of Goddess Durga in the background. Kamakshi Bhaskarla plays the female lead of the film also starring Getup Srinu, Ravi Varma, Baladitya and others. The rural thriller is the sequel to the OTT release Maa Oori Polimera, directed by Anil Vishwanath and produced by Gowri Kriesna.

Ambajipeta Marriage Band, slated to hit screens soon, also had a new poster where the lead members of the band - Suhas, Goparaju Ramana, Jagadeesh Prathap Bhandari and others - are folding their hands while wishing viewers on the festival day. Dushyanth Katikanrni is the director of the film produced by GA2 Pictures, Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment, Mahayana Motion Pictures.
