Harris Jayaraj to wrap up work on background score of The Legend

Businessman Saravanan Arul is all set to make his acting debut with The Legend. The film, which is gearing up to hit screens on July 28, is directed by JD-Jerry. The Legend is considered to be a comeback of sorts for music director Harris Jayaraj, who hasn't worked on any film in the last three years. Now, the latest we hear is that the composer is about to complete the background score of the film. 

Harris shared a picture of himself from his recording studio and captioned it, "Finishing the Background score of “The Legend”. @DirJdjerry @thinkmusicindia (sic)." The makers have already released the video of the song Mosalo Mosalo from the film, which is a peppy dance number. 

The film also has singer KK's last number in Tamil, Konji Konji, which has lyrics penned by Kabilan and is a duet along with Shreya Ghoshal. KK had recorded for the song in December. The directors had shared a picture of the singer from the recording studio after the demise of KK. Interestingly, Harris Jayaraj is one of the composers who has extensively worked with KK in Tamil and their songs have turned out to be huge hits as well. Take for instance, Love Pannu, Kalyanam Thaan Kattikittu, Andankaakka Kondakkari, Kadhalikkum Aasaiyillai, Mudhal Naal Indur and Uyirin Uyirey to name a few. 

The film also mark Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela debut in Tamil. The Legend is touted to be a pan-India film and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The star cast includes Suman, Nassar, Robo Shankar, Imman Annachi and Yashika Anand. We hear that Saravanan plays a scientist in the film, who is on a mission to rescue people of his village and Urvashi plays a microbiologist. The theatrical release in Tamil Nadu will be handled by Madurai GN Anbuchezhian’s Gopuram Films.
