It was announced in 2017 that Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor would portray Olympic gold-medal shooter Abhinav Bindra in his biopic. Given the athlete's travels, interest in the project has persisted ever since. But because the project has been in the works for so long, who better than Harsh to update us on its status?

The performer told the Times of India that along with his father, Anil Kapoor, he is producing and acting in that movie. The young actor recalled that Abhinav is an exceptional person, and he's not a normal athlete by any means. He is a very reserved individual with a dry sense of humour. This is not the typical "rags-to-riches" tale; shooting is a very psychological sport. They are working to create a story that accurately represents Abhinav. They are attempting to make it cinematic while staying authentic to his character and way of life.

A 2024 release is what Harsh Varrdhan is aiming for. He revealed that they will shoot and edit the movie this year. Next year should see its release. His first theatrical release in six years will be this one. The actor would like the Abhinav Bindra biopic to come out in theatres, since the last one was Bhavesh Joshi Superhero in 2018. Harsh has a lot of ambition, and although his involvement in unconventional films like Ray and Thar made them distinctive works, he firmly believes that just because one's movies aren't mainstream doesn't mean they can't be profitable. Harsh is not going to accept it. The actor is hoping to change things and take action. He believes this movie will be a unique creation, and he is confident that if they manage to carry out what is in their hearts and minds, audiences will like it.

Abhinav said that athletes are usually portrayed as strong people in sports biopics when he talked about the movie with Bombay Times. They resemble superhumans in many ways. No matter what the message is, athletes are just as common and vulnerable as everyone else. He was a straightforward, weak person who put in a lot of effort. In his biopic, Abhinav wants that to come across.

He had referred to Harsh as diligent, thoughtful, and capable of performing well. It's up to him how he gets into Abhinav's head to play him on screen, including how witty or funny he is.
