Has Aamir Khan given his nod to produce Ujjwal Nikam’s biopic? Deets here!

After the mixed response to the film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, Aamir Khan shocked everyone by saying that he had decided to take a break. As per a news report in PTI at that time, Aamir Khan said that he was not doing anything and that he had been working for a long time and that’s why he wanted to spend time with his family. The actor had also added that, work was underway on Paani Foundation besides other things. It was here when he had said (read ‘announced’) that he will come back to acting after a year.

Aamir Khan all set for a grand come-back!

Well, it seems that, Aamir Khan is now all set to stage a ‘comeback’ and how! As per a news report in Pinkvilla, it has been reported that, filmmaker Dinesh Vijan is right now in talks to team up with Aamir Khan for a film that will be a biopic on Indian Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. The report stated that, if everything falls in place, then, the said biopic can be expected to go on floors next year (2024). And, as far as the casting of the said film is concerned, it will be reportedly start by the end of this year.

Will Aamir Khan act in the film?

Even though the news report stated that, both, Aamir Khan and Dinesh Vijan are likely to produce the project, it still remains unclear if Aamir Khan will be acting in the film. Talking about the film, the said report said that, Aamir Khan was introduced to the illustrious journey of Ujjwal Nikam before the pandemic hit. After many drafts of the scripts, it seems now that, Aamir Khan has finally zeroed down on the script that has satisfied him. The hunt for a suitable director who can do total justice to the film’s script, is reportedly on.

Who is Ujwal Nikam?
He is a special Indian Prosecutor who has, to his credit of having worked in many cases, including the suspects’ prosecution in the 1993 Bombay bomb blasts. In the year 2016, he was even Padma Shri by the Government of India.

A film already been made on Ujwal Nikam?

Prior to this, there has been a film that was made on the life of Ujwal Nikam. As per a report in The Times Of India, the film, which was titled as 'Adesh--Power of Law', was made in Marathi and had also been dubbed in Hindi and Telugu. Besides playing the titular role, actor Suvahhdan Angre had also directed and produced the film.
