Has Sanya Malhotra been signed in the Varun Dhawan starrer VD 18? Here’s what we know

With his repertoire boasting of films which have been hits and superhits, Varun Dhawan is definitely one of the go-to stars in Bollywood today.

With his last film 'Bawaal’ (with Jahnvi Kapoor) also proving to be a box office hit, Varun Dhawan has yet again proved that, why is he a safe bet for filmmakers today. All the eyes are now trained on Varun Dhawan’s most awaited next film ‘VD 18’ (working title). This time round, Varun Dhawan has joined hands with none other than Atlee Kumar aka the ‘hit machine’, who had recently delivered a monster of a hit in the form of ‘Jawan’, which starred Shah Rukh Khan.

As per the latest report in Pinkvilla, it is Sanya Malhotra, who will be seen as the leading lady of the Varun Dhawan starrer, although there has been no official confirmation or announcement regarding the same. What is confirmed till now is that, besides Varun Dhawan, the film ‘VD 18’ stars Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi. Speaking of Sanya Malhotra, she too was a part of Atlee Kumar’s ‘Jawan’.

Readers may recall that, Varun Dhawan had taken to social media and posted an update about him being hurt on the sets of ‘VD 18’. He had even tried ice therapy for the same. As for the film ‘VD 18’, Varun Dhawan will be seen in the role of a police officer. While the film is being directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees, it will be presented by Atlee Kumar. The film is being reportedly readied to be released in May 2024. Watch this space for developments.
