Raja Gandrothu, a former associate of VV Vinayak, will helm the film while Kasu Ramesh is the producer

Karthik Raju, who rose to prominence with his appearances in films like Padesave, Kousalya Krishnamurthy, Operation Goldfish and Tippu, is gearing up for the release of Atharva on December 1. Simran Choudhary is paired opposite him in the thriller. Meanwhile, he has commenced work on a new project titled Hasthina Puram. The film took off with a formal pooja ceremony today.
Hasthina Puram marks the directorial debut of Raja Gandrothu, a former associate of V V Vinayak. Kasu Ramesh is bankrolling the film under Kasu Creations. Misha Narang, seen in films like Thellavarithe Guruvaram, CSI Sanatan and Missing, plays the female lead. Besides the cast, crew, the film launch event held at a temple was graced by veteran filmmakers Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao and V N Aditya.
While Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao sounded the clapboard for the first shot, producer/distributor Vamsi Nandipati switched on the camera. VN Aditya formally handed over the script to the team. Karthik Raju shared that Hasthina Puram has a new concept and insisted it’s not a regular film. Producer Kasu Ramesh, Karthik Raju’s former stylist and manager, said the film has a potent storyline.
Predicting Karthik Raju’s Atharva would be a hit (and that he has already watched it), director Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao expressed his confidence about the prospects of Hasthina Puram as well. V N Aditya, who is also teaming up with Karthik Raju for a love story (to release on Valentine’s Day in 2024), wished the best for the actor for Atharva and Hasthina Puram.
Misha Narang conveyed her happiness to work on a Telugu film again and Raja Gandrothu said the film has a good story and a technical team. HanuMan fame Anudeep Dev composes the music score for Hasthina Puram and Garry Bh is the editor. S Murali Mohan Reddy is the cinematographer.
