Director duo Bert and Bertie have surprised fans with an update on the ongoing post-production of Disney Plus’s upcoming Marvel series Hawkeye. The Jonathan Igla developed series will further explore the backstory of the Stan Lee created ace archer. Jeremy Renner is returning in his titular role of Hawkeye, leading the cast alongside Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, and Tony Dalton. Kate Bishop and Echo will be making their MCU debut with the show while Hailee Steinfeld and Alaqua Cox will be seen in significant roles.

The makers haven’t revealed many details about the plot yet. The upcoming MCU series is said to be set in a post-Avengers: Endgame era with Hawkeye a.k.a Clint Barton training Steinfeld's Bishop to take over the Hawkeye mantle. The series will also shed light upon Barton's time as the vigilante Ronin, briefly seen in the epic conclusion of the Infinity Saga. While fans are excited to see Bishop's debut, Marvel Studios already seems to have anticipated its success with a spin-off series focusing on Cox's Echo already being on the cards.

The show's director duo Bert & Bertie took to Instagram over the weekend to share that post-production on the Disney+ MCU series has officially wrapped. Posting a photo of some mouth-watering cookies, the directors showed their appreciation for editors Rosanne Tan and Tim Roche and the rest of Marvel's post-production team for helping them and the rest of the directors put together their cuts.
