We have a long list of films and shows on Netflix to look out for, as we enter the month of March. But unfortunately, we will also have to bid adieu to a few films as they are on their way out of the streaming platform.
Kung Fu Panda, Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 are the three movies that will be dropped out of Netflix in March. The three computer animated features are fan favourites and were extremely successful, following their initial theatrical releases.
Despicable Me tells the tale of Gru, a grumpy super-villain who dreams of taking over the world but gets stuck with three orphan girls. The movie also introduced Minions, the fan-favourite yellow creatures that are characterised by their goody behaviour and unique language.
Starring Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Miranda Cosgrove, Kristen Wiig, Will Arnett, and Julie Andrews, the movie became the ninth highest-grossing film of 2010.
Despicable Me 2, which came out in 2013, sees the return of Gru, his minions and his adopted daughters along with some new characters. The super-villain turned super-dad now has to go up against El Macho, who has concocted a plan to use a mutagen to turn lovable Minions into his evil sidekicks to take over the world.
The movie was a massive success following its release, becoming the third highest-grossing film of 2013, after Frozen and Iron Man 3.
On the other hand, Kung Fu Panda features Jack Black as an animated Panda who is accidentally prophesied as the “Dragon Warrior”. The movie boasts an impressive voice cast that includes Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Ian McShane, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, and Jackie Chan.
