Here’s an ‘Afwaah’: Bhumi Pednekar set to collaborate with Sudhir Mishra and Nawazuddin Siddiqui

The latest ‘Afwaah’ is that Bhumi Pednekar has joined Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming film. The movie, titled Afwaah, is directed by Sudhir Mishra. The director had previously worked with Nawaz in Serious Men, which released on Netflix.

Afwaah is tagged as a ‘quirky thriller’. The movie is being backed by Anubhav Sinha and Bhushan Kumar. Bhumi shared the news on her Instagram handle and also gave an update about the movie. She revealed that the filming for Afwaah is going to begin soon.

Bhumi shared a collage photo of her, Nawazuddin, Anubhav, Sudhir and Bhushan. The team is currently doing recce for the film and will begin shooting for it once the pre-production work is finalized on.

This is the first time that Nawazuddin and Bhumi are collaborating for a project. While Nawaz is best known for crime-dramas, Bhumi has worked in quirky comedy films so far.

While talking about the project in a press statement, Bhumi said that she wants to double her effort since she is working with Nawazuddin. The actress also called the project ‘more special’ because she is collaborating with Anubhav and Bhushan after Bheed.

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin felt that Anubhav and Sudhir’s cinema is about making a difference. He also shared his excitement to explore his chemistry with Bhumi.

Sudhir shared the same excitement to see the actors’ chemistry on the sets. The director cleared that Afwaah is a story he lived with for a long time and promised he has made the story quirkier and more twisted than ever. He also mentioned about a crucial message being hidden behind the quirky nature of the film.

Afwaah will be majorly shot in Alwar, Rajasthan. There is no clarity on when the film will go on floors at the moment, much less about when or where it will release.
