Aamir Khan’s Forrest Gump co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan is constantly in the news as it moves closer to its big release date. While there is a lot of excitement surrounding the movie’s release, a section of social media users are also calling for a boycott of the remake. Kareena Kapoor has now opened up about the issue and what she feels about it. 

Talking to India Today, Kareena said that because everyone has accessibility today, everyone has a voice and an opinion. She also said that if there are going to be opinions, people also have to learn and ignore things and if not, it becomes impossible to live your life.

“I am like ‘It’s a film and it’s going to release and everyone will have their opinion.’ So that’s it. If it’s a good film, I believe that it will surpass anything, pretty much, the response will be good. I think that good films will surpass anything,” the actor added. 

Talking about the same issue, Aamir Khan said at an event that he feels sad because a lot of people who are calling for the boycott of the movie believe in their hearts that he does not like India. The actor further added that he loves the country and asked the people to not boycott his films because they think differently. 

Laal Singh Chaddha, which is helmed by Advait Chandan, is the official Hindi remake of Robert Zemeckis’ 1994 classic, Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. The remake is written by Atul Kulkarni and is bankrolled by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Studios. 

The coming-of-age movie which also stars Naga Chaitanya in his Bollywood debut, is set to hit theatres on August 11.
