Prior to her big Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone featured in the music video for Naam Hai Tera by Himesh Reshammiya. Recently, the musician-actor reminisced on his time spent working with the actor, describing her as a "star from day one." Even though he has introduced a number of female actors in his career, he claimed that none of them have been as successful as Deepika.
Himesh told Pinkvilla that they launched many other girls, but they didn't become Deepika Padukone. Therefore, she is solely responsible. From the moment she appeared in the music video for Naam Hai Tera, she became an instant star. He called her a remarkable woman and said that her screen presence, work ethic, and commitment were all strong even in those days.
Deepika and Himesh reunited on Indian Idol 11, where she was a guest and he was a judge, years after they starred in the music video. She thanked him for the chance and confessed that she was completely unprepared for the filming during the music video.
When DP was chosen for the music video, she had no idea what she was doing. No one ever showed her a movie set, and she had no idea how music videos were made. The actor picked up all the skills she needs for today's work while shooting the music video. Deepika appreciated Himesh letting her have this chance. After everyone else had given up on her, he did.
For his professional work, Himesh recently appeared in Badass Ravikumar, while Deepika was most recently seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. Her upcoming projects include a sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. There are reports making the rounds that Deepika has a special appearance in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, Love & War.
