Himesh Reshammiya thinks similarities between Badass Ravi Kumar and Animal are a good thing: 'Mujhey lag raha hai agar...'

Singer and composer Himesh Reshammiya was recently seen acting in the movie, Badass Ravi Kumar. The musical action movie revolves around a suspended, rebellious cop named Ravi Kumar (played by Himesh Reshammiya) who is tasked with retrieving a sensitive reel containing secrets about Indian agents. If you have watched the movie, then you surely have noticed that Himesh's character has some similarities with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. In a recent interview, Himesh opened up about the same. 

Himesh Reshammiya on similarities between Badass Ravi Kumar and Animal

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Himesh Reshammiya opene up about the similarity between his character and Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. He said, “Actually, vo chain-saw wala toh koi bhi film me nhi tha. (The chain-saw scene in the film isn’t there in any other movie).”

Himesh also added that they maintained the retro look of the character, for which his hair is also long. “Animal toh current film hai but kahin na kahin vo beard, ek conventional look jo aaj chal raha hai, toh ek similarity hogi. Aur mujhey lag raha hai agar ek achi cheez se similarity ho bhi toh koi problem nhi hai," he added. 

(Animal is a current movie. But somewhere, the bear and hair have that conventional look that is trending these days. Hence, there is a certain level of similarity. I also think that if there is a similarity with a good thing, then there is no problem in that.).

During his latest appearance on Farah Khan's vlog, Himesh was asked about his inspiration for Badass Ravi Kumar and he explained that the character in the film was derived from his childhood memories of Indian cinema.

Meanwhile, the box office total for the Himesh Reshammiya–starring Badass Ravikumar in India was below Rs. 10 crore.
