Hrithik Roshan's latest neo-noir action thriller Vikram Vedha has opened to packed theatres and positive reviews at the box office. The film, which is a remake of the Tamil film of the same name (which was also helmed by Pushkar-Gayatri), has Hrithik Roshan playing the gangster Vedha, and sharing screen space with Saif Ali Khan, who plays an honest and no-nonsense police officer Vikram.

Hrithik Roshan has called playing Vedha, a process of learning from scratch. The actor shared a video in which he is seen prepping for the character, right from the makeup, to learning the Bihari accent for his character and even practising the body language and the mannerisms. The video, which is around 2 minutes long, summarises his journey to become Vedha and is titled 'Vedha Uncensored'.

Hrithik also attached a note along with the video that read, "To become 'Vedha' I had to first find comfort in being a 'yeda'. 9 months of prepping and being Vedha- from October 2021 to June 2022. Exactly the time human lives to take to birth. Vedha has been a process of moulding from scratch, today, it's a character I'm proud of. Learning to talk, walk, dance, eat and live like Vedha has been sheer joy. There may not be Hrithik in Vedha, but there will always remain Vedha in Hrithik.) (sic)."

He also tweeted that Vedha was a character that he was proud of. Hrithik wrote, "Vedha has been a process of moulding from scratch, today it's a character I'm proud of. Learning to talk, walk, dance, eat & live like Vedha has been sheer joy. #VikramVedha (sic)." The actor had also shared a video, in which stated that it was time to let go off the character that had been part of him for over a year, while snapping a thread that donned his wrist.

While Madhavan played Vikram in the original, Vijay Sethupathi played Vedha. Both the characters won a lot of accolades from the audience.
