Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Inshallah, which was announced in 2019, would have marked his collaboration with Salman Khan after two decades. However, the Radhe star dropped out reportedly owing to creative differences. Now, we hear that the filmmaker has roped in Hrithik Roshan for the role.
As per reports on News18, a source stated in the tabloid that the filmmaker, who is currently busy with the production of Vibhu Puri’s web series Heera Mandi, has started working on the pre-production of Inshallah since he finished Gangubai Kathiawadi.
“As it is a story of the mature romance between a young girl and a much older guy, he feels Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt would make a good pair. The actor has had several meetings with the filmmaker. He has liked the script but has requested for certain modifications. Bhansali is also reworking the script,” the source added.
After completing Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia is currently filming her Telugu debut movie RRR that also stars NTR Jr, Ram Charan and Ajay Devgn. The actress is also part of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmāstra opposite Ranbir Kapoor and is now shooting for Darlings, as an actor and a producer.
Meanwhile, Alia’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, which is based on a segment of S Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, will be released later this year. On the other hand, Bhansali is also busy with the making of Izhaar and an untitled project with Aamir Khan.
