Actor Sudheer Babu, who was last seen in Mohana Krishna Indraganti’s drama Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali, is taking the thriller route with Hunt, for which he’s turning a cop again after V. The investigative thriller, that’s gearing up for a release on January 26, is directed by Mahesh and also features noted actors Srikanth, Bharath in pivotal roles. The film’s trailer was launched by Project K star Prabhas today.
In the trailer, you’re introduced to a cop Arjun, who meets with an accident and forgets all key details about his past, both on the personal and professional fronts. A case that he couldn’t solve prior to the accident is back to haunt him again and he faces several roadblocks as he tries to find answers. Soon, Arjun realises that he’s a mere pawn in a bigger game and finds himself in a helpless situation.
What connects Arjun’s past to his colleague/best friend’s death? The mysteries only multiply while he digs deeper. His superior, played by Srikanth, tries to guide him along in the process but Arjun’s colleagues have their own doubts about the case. There’s ample tension, slick action, deep introspection in this well cut trailer.
Mime Gopi, Kabir Duhan Singh, Mounika Reddy, Goparaju Ramana, Sanjay Swaroop too play important roles in Hunt. Produced by V Ananda Prasad under Bhavya Creations, the action sequences in the film are choreographed by Renaud Favero and Ryan Viger, who worked on Marvel films and John Wick 4 recently. V Ananda Prasad names Hunt a content-driven action thriller and promises to deliver a treat for action junkies.
