Hunter - Tootega Nahi, Todega actor Suniel Shetty: It is important to market yourself well, only talent is not enough

Celebrated actor Suniel Shetty, who has a strong fanbase even at the age of 61, talks about why he thinks success is a cocktail of different talents, and that it’s important to market yourself well in today’s world. 

“I think along with acting, one has to have a good marketing strategy as well. It is important to market yourself really well. In this time when the virtual world is so strong, one has to find out that one X-factor within them that really makes them unique and separates them from the rest of the people. You should present that to the audience and keep a tap on what the audience wants. It happens more than often that we keep wondering why everyone else is doing well and why not me? Keeping the confidence alive is important, you know and you should know what you are good at, make sure you are working on that. Such things always help someone to grow constantly,” the actor elaborated.

Suniel also emphasised the fact that when a film or a show is in the making, one should understand the perspective of a producer as well because, at the end of the day, a producer gives the green light to a project.

The Dhadkan actor said, “One should also understand the perspective and pressure a producer has. They are bringing the money to the table so that we can put up our dream project. It so happens that whenever we talk about a film or a show, we give credit to the actors, writers and musicians, etc. Of course, all the artists work hard to create the world of the story, but we must understand and respect our producer as well. We at times tend to demand a lot, we demand five vanity vans instead of one, we demand special food from different places and at times demands are endless. All I am saying is, the focus should be on making a good product and not on vanity.”

Hunter - Tootega Nahi, Todega is directed by Alok Batra and Prince Dhiman and produced by Vikram Mehra and Vikram Anand Kumar. The series also stars Esha Deol, Barkha Singh, Rahul Dev, Karanvir Sharma, Smita Jaykar and Pawan Chopra. It’s releasing on Amazon miniTV on March 22.
