The Family Man 2 actor said that when Gautham Menon requested him to give voiceover for the trailer, he agreed to do it as he respected the director

A new trailer of Silambarasan's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu has been released ahead of the film's release. The new trailer has The Family Man 2 actor Manoj Bajpayee lending his voiceover. Manoj Bajpayee says that he agreed to lend the voiceover because he respected Gautham Menon's work and loved his films. "Gautham Menon came up with this idea that I should do the voice over for the film's trailer and requested me to do it. I agreed as I respect him as an actor & director and love all his work. And I am very happy to be a small part of this film." The new trailer has received a lot of adulation from his fans, who have called his voice real and brave.
Abhishek Bachchan, who had watched the trailer, had said that he couldn't wait to watch it. He wrote on his social media handle, "So many friends and people I admire in this. Can’t wait to see it. All the best guys. @menongautham @SilambarasanTR_ (sic). Huma Qureshi, on the other hand, called the film a unique idea. Taking to her micro-blogging page, she wrote, "Amazing! Wishing the entire team of this gangster saga the very best. Unique idea to watch the #VendhuThanindhathuKaadu trailer in the voice of @BajpayeeManoj! @SilambarasanTR_ @menongautham #VendhuThanindhathuKaad @IshariKGanesh @VelsFilmIntl @arrahman (sic)."
In the meantime, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu has been censored with the U/A certificate. The film, which is billed as a musical gangster saga, has Silambarasan and Siddhi Idnani in the lead. Silambarasan plays Muthu, and the actor underwent a major body transformation for the role as his role requires him to play a 19-year-old youngster who goes to become a dreaded don. The film is based on a novel by writer Jeyamohan.
In the meantime, promotions for the film are in full swing ahead of the release. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will hit screens on September 15. The film is bankrolled by Ishari Ganesh's Vels International. The digital rights of the film have been bagged by Amazon Prime Video.
