Iconic on-screen couple SRK and Kajol to team up again for Rajkumar Hirani’s next

Bollywood’s iconic pair Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, we hear, are likely to come together again for Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming project. The two of them have shared screen space in several blockbuster hits, including the ever popular Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. They were last seen together in Rohit Shetty’s 2015 film Dilwale.

Hirani’s movie is expected to be a social-comedy, which is said to be portraying the journey of a man and his family, who reside in two countries. It is also heard that Vidya Balan and Tapsee Pannu will also be part of the film. Vidya had often expressed her interest in being a part of Shah Rukh’s movie. It is heard that Hirani was so impressed with her performance in Sherni that he decided to cast her. Veteran actors Manoj Bajpayee and Boman Irani are also expected to be in the cast. 

The project will be jointly produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies. Shantanu Moitra is said to be the music composer of the film, the shooting of which is expected to begin in April 2022.

Shah Rukh is currently busy with Pathan and an untitled project with Atlee which will have Nayanthara paired opposite him. He is also reportedly in discussions with the filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK for an action thriller. The Raj and DK duo’s recent outing, The Family Man, which had opened to rave reviews, is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
