It surely was a game of ducks as Indian pacers Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar breathed fire with the new ball. The two made sure they did not allow the South African side to even settle as they picked up 5 early wickets under 3 overs.

The attack began with Chahar drawing first blood and getting rid of the opposition skipper Temba Bavuma on a duck.

Later Arshdeep Singh took over and also chipped in with crucial wickets of Quinton de Kock, Rilee Rossouw, and David Miller in quick succession.

Chahar, who came to attack again dismissed Tristan Stubbs, who was caught by Arshdeep. The duo, within the Powerplay had got the dangermen out.

Aiden Markram, who was starting to settle down was also sent back to the dugout after scoring just 25 runs.

But Keshav Maharaj (41) along with Wayne Parnell (24) were the main reason why the score even crossed the 100 runs-mark.

BCCI's Twitter handle even shared a video highlighting the havoc the Indian pacers caused to the visitors.

Talking about the clash, South Africa managed to score 106 runs and the Men in Blue, in the chase have already lost skipper Rohit Sharma for a duck.

The Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram is surely favouring bowlers in the 1st T20I game.
