The post production of director Shankar's Indian 2 is in full swing. In the meantime, the film's director of photography Ravi Varman is all praise for Kamal Haasan and his commitment towards the film. During a recent interview with a regional Tamil channel, Ravi Varman said, "We were shooting in Tirupati and I bumped into Kamal Haasan sir in the lift. The moment he saw me he said that he was sorry that he was a bit late for the shot. It was barely 5am in the morning. He said that he had gone to the gym earlier."
Ravi Varman, who is in awe of Kamal Haasan said, "Imagine if he has to be on the set at 5am and he still considers himself late, what time would he wake up in the morning. He has to spend four hours on the sets. His commitment towards his work is just incredible and I am a huge fan."
Ravi Varman had earlier worked with Kamal Haasan in Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu, and he said that the Ulaganayagan gave his career a huge fillip. "He has been a major support and lifted my career in three movies. He is someone who only sees the merits in a person and ignores all the faults. You know we wish a lot of people our social custom, but it's only Kamal Haasan, whom I have always wished from the bottom of my heart.
Indian 2 is a sequel to the 1996 film of the same name. The vigilante thriller has Kamal Haasan reprising his iconic character Senapathy, and the star cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Vennela Kishore and Deepa Shankar to name a few.
Music for the film is by Anirudh marking his second collaboration with Kamal Haasan after Vikram.Sreekar Prasad is in charge of editing. Indian 2 is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
