Jayam Ravi's psycho thriller Iraivan is one of the most awaited projects of the year. The film, which also stars Nayanthara and Rahul Bose in the lead, is written and directed by Ahmed and is slated to hit screens on September 28.
Netflix bags the digital rights
Leading streaming platform Netflix has bagged the digital rights of the film. The thriller is likely to drop on Netflix, a month after its theatrical release. The streaming date is yet to be announced.
Team drops new trailer
Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi has stated in the promotions to expect the unexpected in the film. He added that the star cast has put in fantastic performances. The team dropped a brand new trailer yesterday in which Jayam Ravi and his team are on a mission to hunt down Smiley Killer Bramma (Rahul Bose), who has been killing young women mercilessly and shows no remorse. Bramma has been billed as a killer who considers himself god and one of the most intelligent beings on the planet.
The tone of the film has been intentionally kept dark to suit the mood of the goings-on on screen. The grim and dark trailer piqued the curiosity among the audience. Jayam Ravi has added that the film is not advisable for children. It was also revealed yesterday that the Telugu version of the film is titled God.
Cast and Crew
Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music. Though the songs haven't really made an impact, the background score has won many hearts. Hari K Vedanth is the director of photography, while Manikanda Balaji is in charge of the editing. The film's star cast also comprises Ashish Vidyarthi, Naren, Charlie, Azhagam Perumal, Vinoth Kishan, Vijayalakshmi, Bhagavathi Perumal to name a few.
Iraivan is bankrolled by Passion Studio and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada worldwide.
