Terry Crews, star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, has an interesting proposal for a reunion film. The actor portrayed "Sarge" Terry Jeffords for the whole eight seasons of the FOX and eventually NBC police procedural comedy, which ended with one final annual 99th Precinct Halloween Heist in fall 2021.

In a recent interview promoting his novel Tough, Crews reveals he's planning a heist film with Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller), and Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher).

The actor told The Hollywood Reporter that he is still interested in the new Brooklyn Nine-Nine film. He still believes they might make a heist film. They used to have a yearly heist episode, and Crews thinks it would be fantastic, especially with Peacock and all of the other terrific stuff that NBC can currently do. The actor believes that every cast member will agree that they should produce a lovely hour and a half episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Make it three episodes, all featuring the heist and a new robbery, and it will be fantastic.

Crews continued, saying that he adores his fellow cast members. He has known these people for eight years, and they're like family to him, and he misses them every day.

The annual Halloween Heist, conceived by Michael Schur and Dan Goor, was one of the show's longest-running gags: an effort to steal a MacGuffin to determine who would be proclaimed "the Ultimate Detective-Genius" or "the Ultimate Human-Genius." In the two-part series finale, "The Last Day Part 1" and "The Last Day Part 2," the B99 Squad took part in one more heist to declare themselves "the Grand Champion of the Nine-Nine."

Crews indicated in December that everyone was amenable to reuniting for a Brooklyn Nine-Nine reunion special or movie on NBCUniversal's Peacock. The actor told ET Online that when one looks at what streaming is doing and how many series have been brought back, it's amazing. He meant it's out of control right now. Diff'rent Strokes and Facts of Life are being resurrected in various forms.

Except for the final season, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is available to stream on Netflix in India.
